I never heard my folks calling it 'jakku'. The name is 'chakka'. Also, wikipedia article confirms that. But you never know :-).
ReplyDeleteYes, it must be 'chakka' or 'chakku palam' not jakku palam. Kooja chakku apparently refers to 'tuluve'(soft,mushy) kind of pelakkai.
